This is why you need to bring one or two big suitcases to store everything you are wanting to bring. You need to stow bigger items first, followed by more flexible and thinner items like clothes.

Ensure that your boat has a place to put these bags. The last thing you would want is for something to walk the metaphorical plank. Packing properly will help you stay organized on the sea and comforted that your stuff will stay safe.

You should always aim to leave at a time where storms won’t bother you too bad, but that is not always possible.
